ABOUT ME

I am a CS Student at Virginia Tech with interests in human-computer-interaction, machine learning, virtual reality, and entrepreneurship. This summer I will be interning at Amazon. I currently am a researcher in the Crowd Lab at Virginia Tech, where I work on an application combining AI and crowd-sourcing for facial recognition. I also conduct undergraduate research at the Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology on Virtual Reality interactions. I was a Software Developer Intern at the MITRE Corporation in the Agile Engineering and Innovation Department for two years. In addition, I founded a web design company, DesigN, and a website to teach high school students math through interactive and engaging games, Math-IO.com. I conducted research in conjunction with ODU and MITRE on mobile web archiving, writing a research paper on my findings as a research project. I also work on many of my own projects and compete in hackathons and other competitions with topics ranging from developing prototyping, hacking, algorithms, web design, app development, and more.

Developed as part of my Governor's School for Science and Technology Research Project with my Mentor Justin Brunelle at MITRE Corporation. - Web Service to provide aggregated memento data sorted from oldest to newest for a given URI-R. Using the Memento API, we retrieve a list of Time- Maps for a URI-R (e.g., http://www.google.com/). We request each TimeMap individually, compiling the URI-Ms from the TimeMaps, sorting the mementos by memento datetime from newest to oldest, and returning the entire set of known URI-Ms in a newly aggregated TimeMap to the requesting client.

Created for VTHacks, Minimalism Apps aims to help people focus on their life by removing distractions of material items. The app won the SQLServe award from SQL Sentry. - Removing the distractions and clutter from your life can help you focus on the things that matter, but we have found it can be difficult to keep pushing to maintain this goal. Our app will allow you to compete with friends and make removing clutter as simple and intuitive as possible. Challenge your friends and family to get rid of items not adding value to your life and play the 30-day minimalism game. Take pictures of items you are giving up and using google cloud vision, our app will recognize the items in your photo (and allow you to edit these predictions) and even suggest charities to donate to based on the type of items.
